Deepened Dragonflies – with so much happening throughout the world right now, and I must admit my feelings and emotions have been ranging from one end of the scale of being totally excited at the prospect of new beginnings for our world to being slap bang despondent at the other end as circumstances unravel in undelightful ways… I came across this image I took many moons ago whilst living in Zimbabwe at a quiet and very tranquil watering hole and it’s something I feel which symbolically reflects what is happening during the transitions we are all going through….In almost every part of the world, the Dragonfly symbolizes change, transformation, adaptability, and self-realization. The change that is often referred to has its source in mental and emotional maturity and understanding the deeper meaning of life.
The Dragonfly’s scurrying flight across water represents an act of going beyond what’s on the surface and looking into the deeper implications and aspects of life.
